Into 2017

May peace be upon you. :)

I haven't blog anything since May 2016 and here I am wishing everybody a prosperous New Year. Tehee.

2016 has been more like adapting the transition from being confused on where to eat to have-I-paid-all-the-bills-for-the-month. It feels like you've been hit by a big waves in the middle of the ocean and you're trying so hard to reach up for some air. However taking it into another perspective, I've been blessed with so many things last year where at some point it feels like a dream.Exactly five years ago I was worrying myself of the future I will hold and here I am now slowly climbing up the mountain of hope.

I want to fill my 2017 by counting my blessings and feel more alive than I've ever been. I want to be grateful of what I have instead of complaining on what I don't have. I want to be more human.

Till then,

Ada Apa Dengan Yogyakarta 2016 - Part Uno

May peace be upon you people.

Happy weekend! Thought of updating this blog and since currently I am in the mood so here goes a lil write up on my #cuticutisakinah trip recently (*read : few weeks ago) to Yogyakarta. I got a lot of these every time people asked me where will I be going :

"awak suka kan pergi belah-belah Indonesia"
"oh aku dah pergi dah, takde apa pun kat situ"
" ada apa dekat sana?"

That's the thing, we might look up at the same stars but we see such different things. Our perspectives may vary about the place because people, you don't dig hard enough to get the gems! So here's a post to answer all of your curiosities.

My family and I have never been to Yogyakarta before so we decided to explore the place but end up falling in love with it. The place, the people and the environment really makes you feel like home. Oh and do note that if you need the best vacation planner do contact my mom. She's the Guru when it comes to finding great places and arranging itineraries. Anyway, it's a plus minus 2 hours  journey by plane to Yogyakarta and we went there for 4 days 3 nights but regretted it afterwards. We should've stayed longer.

Our arrival was welcomed by Didik, the driver aka tour guide for this trip *highly recommended*. Reasonable price, very flexible and reliable. I can't remember their official FB but you can PM me anytime for the contact number.

DAY 1

1. HUTAN PINUS CIBUBUR

Soonest after touched down, we headed to Hutan Pinus Cibubur. It was about an hour journey from Adisucipto airport. Mind you, it was not the only Hutan Pinus there but according to our tour guide, Cibubur has the best view of all. Free admission for public and you can have picnic around the place. You can also rent a hammock if  you want like my picture up there. Fyi, I stole someone's hammock unintentionally because I thought the hammock was there for the public LOL.

2. GUMUK PASIR BARCHAN

Gumuk Pasir was like a mini Sahara dessert in Yogyakarta where you can do sandboarding and they have pre-wedding photoshoot service too. The sandboard rental was around 70,000 rupiah (RM20+) per pax plus a guide to teach you the basics and you can play as long as you want to. It's a beautiful place especially during sunset.

3. 1001 MALAM HOTEL

My mom booked this hotel because she loves the surrounding. It gives all the au naturel vibes, like living in a jungle in the middle of town, pretty neat huh? The only access to this hotel is on foot but don't worry it's only 30 metres (a minute) away from the main road and trust me when you see the hotel, all that won't matter anymore. The staffs were friendly, room was comfortable, free wifi and they served light breakfast too. One more thing, the hotel was just a walk away from the most famous and major shopping street there, Jalan Malioboro. *Highly recommended*

*To be continued*

Don't try to rush things that need time to grow.

For the past few years of not writing, I am truly sorry for my dear self. As if the journey I'm taking is near its expiration date, I run for it while I shouldn't. I run for it until I'm exhausted, I run for it until I'm out of breath, I run for it until my legs bleed so much I could no longer run. Truly Allah is the Best Planner, if not for the wound I would never stop and realize how beautiful it is to brisk walk and enjoy the wind that brushes past me and smell the fresh earthy-smell of grass after the rain.

That's life, kids. The more you rush to it the more it seems so far away. I know how hard it is to cope with what you're dealing right now, I know you're so eager to skip the time into the future. I've been there and I've done all that. The thing is life is like a broken mixtape, you can play, pause, skip to the next song but you can never rewind. In the end, it's your call. You can always press skip to your favourite jam or let the music play till the end of the tape.

I like to remind people to enjoy the little things in life. Really, if you're now in your high school age, go act like one! It's okay to fail your addmath quiz, to fall in and out of love, to worry about your pimples. Embrace the moment you're living in now. No matter how hard it may seem, endure. Feel the pain, get rid of your fear and come out strong. Appreciate your loved ones before it's too late, as you grow older, make time for people not money.

And as you're approaching the age where you receive more wedding invitation than birthday's, be cool with it. You'll get a lot of "So when is your turn?" because people likes to talk, let them be. Make peace with it and if necessary liberate yourself from toxic people. You know what's best for you, don't let other people get to you.

Care about others but live for yourself. :)

Scratch it.

May peace be upon you.

Finally found and purchased the world map poster online! :D I chose the mini size poster which is about 42cm and the best part is that it's a "scratch it" map where we can scratch the place we've been to. I should've bought a larger one but it's okay. Mission is still considered accomplished after all :)

DIY fiesta

May peace be upon you.

I finally have ample time to start my blogging again since my last semester for my final year has ended a few weeks ago. After 3 years of nagging on and on about the hardship and the struggle of being a student, funnily when it ended, I feel empty. *insert emotional song here*

Moving on, so since I had all the time in the world, I decided to unlock a "creating art" achievement in my life. I swear it started out as a matter of killing the time, but soon I learnt that it really is addictive.

The first one was supposed to be more of a galaxy painting but I kinda ruined & fixed it again.

While painting, I had this idea of doing a room make over since my room can be described as dull and unlively for a female's bedroom. The first step is to get rid of all the unwanted things that has been lingering in your room for some time now. I love discovering beautifully decorated rooms on tumblr and my most favourite happened to be this one so far:

So the goal is to have something similar to that. I started to think on how to reorganize everything in my room. As for the books I came up with the floating bookshelves I stumbled on the internet. It is perfect to organize your books apart from making you feel like you're in Hogwarts :]

TADAAAAAA! *proud emoji*. My dad basically did all the drilling but still it's a doable DIY if you wanna give it a try. Spot the clock beside the bookshelves? Well as I got bored of the clock, I decided to leave a magical touch on it.

The DIY session did not stop there as the thought of recycling some materials in my room had me reused the cardboard and made it into a 3D cardboard initials.

It's a simple DIY and doesn't cost you much really and it sure gives a finishing touch to my invisible bookshelves.

For now, my bedroom is still a work in progress. I'll let you know when it is done and I'm thinking of decorating the wall with a world map poster. Any suggestion on where I could find that?

My Rainyday Playlist

May peace be upon you :)

It's 11.27pm and I just realize the heavy downpour outside right after I took off my headphone. The feeling of opening your window to the rain, listening to every raindrops while the natural breeze rush into the room is out of this world.

These words often crossed my mind when I look up to the sky every time it happens "This must be one of the reason I live, to embrace all this and be thankful to Him."
Really I'm a very melodramatic kind of person I have all sort of music playlist for every event of my life:

  1. "ForWhenI'mSad"
  2. "WildParty"
  3. "11.11pmPlaylist"
  4. "MyLullaby"
Fyi, I even have a "PeriodPlaylist" too :p They are my background music to every single story of mine, told or untold. So I thought of sharing some of "My Rainyday Playlist" here:-

What's yours then?

Miserable at best

Peace be upon you.

Luckily I'm so in love with myself I refuse to do any harm to my body even though I feel like killing myself right now. On this very important night of my life I forgot my password and alternative email to log into my account and after several trial Yahoo decided to suspend my account for 12 hours. -_-
I just realize how good I am at making myself vexed ,I don't even need anybody else to do that.

Guess I shall shut my eyes for now and wait until tomorrow. Omg, I hate this feeling, I hate waiting like this . Serve you right!

Until then, Bonne Nuit lil dreamer. :)

P/s:Save some prayer for me.
